1. Use packing cubes as wash bags
Stuff dirty laundry into a dirty-cube, fresh clothes into a clean-cube. Three cubes = full wardrobe separation. Mesh cubes dry faster too.
2. The 30-second rinse
Most "dirty" clothes only need a 30-second hotel-basin rinse. Soap, agitate, rinse, squeeze. Done. Then into Wadewow for 15-20 min dry.
3. Hotel shower caps for shoes
Free shower caps from the bathroom are perfect for wrapping dirty shoes. No more mud on clean shirts.
4. The hair-dryer trick (a.k.a. why Wadewow exists)
Connect any hotel hair dryer to a sealed drying bag. 15 min per shirt. £0. This single trick saves the average traveller £400/year in laundry fees.
5. Travel-size detergent sheets
Skip the liquid bottle. Sheets dissolve in any water, no leak risk in your bag, no 100ml liquid rule.
6. Wear your heaviest item on the plane
Boots, jeans, jacket — wear them. Saves 1.5kg in your bag. Also doubles as a blanket on the flight.
7. Wool dryer balls over fabric softener
If you do hit a real dryer, throw in 2-3 wool balls. Cuts drying time by 25% and softens without chemicals.
8. Pack a sink stopper
Many hotel sinks have weirdly-shaped drains that won't hold water. A £1 universal sink stopper fixes this.
9. Drip-dry hotel hangers
Most hotel rooms have a long wardrobe rod. Hang shirts on hangers, run the A/C, give it 8-12 hours. Slow but free.
10. The 5-4-3-2-1 method
For 7-day trips: 5 undershirts + socks, 4 tops, 3 bottoms, 2 mid-layers, 1 special. Wash mid-trip. Always works.
