The 30-second version
We collect the minimum data we need to ship you the right bag, answer your questions, and improve the site. We never sell your data. You can ask us to delete it any time.
What we collect
- Order data — name, shipping address, email (held by Amazon for Amazon orders; held by us for direct enquiries).
- Email enquiries — if you write to wadewow932655@163.com, we keep the thread until you ask us to delete it.
- Anonymous analytics — page views, scroll depth, button clicks. No personal identifiers. Vendor: Plausible Analytics (EU-hosted, cookie-less).
Cookies we set
We use a single first-party cookie to remember your cookie-consent choice (wadewow-cookie-consent). It expires after 365 days. We do not set advertising cookies and we do not use third-party tracking pixels.
Your rights (UK GDPR + EU GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data. You can also withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with the ICO (UK) or your national DPA (EU).
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@wadewow.com. We respond within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Full policy
1. Who we are
Wadewow is a UK-registered company. Our registered office is in Manchester, United Kingdom. For any data-protection enquiry, contact our Data Protection Officer at privacy@wadewow.com.
2. What data we collect and why
Order fulfilment (Amazon): When you buy a Wadewow bag on Amazon, your order data (name, address, payment confirmation, email) is held by Amazon EU SARL, UK Branch, in accordance with Amazon's privacy policy. We receive only a fulfilment confirmation and your shipping address — we do not see or store your payment details.
Direct enquiries: If you write to us via the contact form or email, we keep your message and email address for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete sooner.
Analytics: We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookie-less analytics tool hosted in the EU. It records anonymous page views, referrers, and country (derived from IP, not stored). No personal data, no cross-site tracking.
3. Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. We set one cookie:
wadewow-cookie-consent— stores your Accept/Reject choice for 365 days. Strictly necessary for the consent banner to work.
We do not set advertising, retargeting, or social-media cookies. We do not use third-party tracking pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads conversion tracking).
If you arrived at this site from a social media link, the originating platform (Instagram, YouTube, etc.) may set its own cookies in your browser. Those are governed by that platform's privacy policy, not ours.
4. Legal basis (UK GDPR Article 6)
We process your data under the following legal bases: (a) contract — to fulfil your order; (b) legitimate interest — to respond to enquiries, prevent fraud, and improve the site; (c) consent — for any non-essential cookies (we currently use none).
5. How long we keep your data
Order confirmations: 7 years (HMRC requirement). Email enquiries: 24 months or until you ask us to delete. Analytics: aggregated, anonymous, indefinite.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with: Amazon (for order fulfilment), our payment processor (Amazon Pay / Stripe — used only for direct sales if applicable), and our email service (for support replies). All processors are GDPR-compliant.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers (Amazon, Plausible) may process data outside the UK/EEA. We ensure appropriate safeguards (UK International Data Transfer Agreement, EU Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR / EU GDPR, you have the right to: (1) access your data; (2) correct inaccurate data; (3) request deletion; (4) restrict processing; (5) data portability; (6) object to processing; (7) withdraw consent; (8) lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@wadewow.com. We respond within 30 days, usually much sooner.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK (ico.org.uk) or your national data protection authority if you are in the EU.
9. Children
Our site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will email registered customers.
