Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 2025
This page explains what cookies are, which ones we use on wadewow.com, and how you can control them. We've tried to keep this as short and honest as possible.
What's a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. Cookies are useful 鈥?they remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and help us understand how the site is used. They can't run code or harm your device.
Cookies we use
We use only two categories of cookies on wadewow.com: essential (for the site to work) and optional analytics (so we can see what's working). We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party data brokers.
1. Essential cookies (always on)
These are required for the site to function. They remember your cookie consent choice and basic UI state (e.g. mobile menu).
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| wadewow-cookie-consent | Stores your cookie banner choice (accepted/rejected) | 1 year |
2. Analytics cookies (only if you accept)
We use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies at all. It runs without cookies and is fully compliant with GDPR, PECR, and CCPA. It collects no personal data, no IP addresses, and no cross-site identifiers.
Because Plausible doesn't use cookies, accepting or rejecting analytics in our banner doesn't change what's loaded — we just respect your choice as a matter of transparency.
Cookies set by third parties
When you click through to Amazon to complete a purchase, Amazon's cookies and privacy policy apply. We don't control those. See Amazon's privacy notice for details.
When you click social share links (e.g. X, LinkedIn), those platforms may set their own cookies if you're logged in. We don't load their scripts on our site, so this only happens after you actively click a share button.
How to control cookies
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for wadewow.com — the consent banner will reappear on your next visit. You can also block all cookies in your browser settings, though this may break some site features (like the mobile menu state).
Most modern browsers also offer a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal. We honour these as a request to opt out of non-essential tracking.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:
- Know what personal data we hold about you
- Request a copy of that data
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Object to processing
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email wadewow932655@163.com. We respond within 30 days.
